Sept. 14th, 2011 Jeffrey was invited as a Steering Committee Member of Our Government-Funded Project on Rare Earth Elements (REEs) The Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) has recently been approved in principle of funding support in collaboration with Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) to undertake a project, “Gold Mines” for Local Economy – A Strategic Feasibility Study for Hong Kong to Upgrade Innovation and Technology Industries through Rare Earth Elements (REEs), under the General Support Programme (GSP) of the Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). As an effort to gather and consolidate a wider range of industrial experiences for a more fruitful outcome, a high-level Steering Committee consisting of members from different industries that make use of REEs materials will be formed to provide product development insights from the perspectives of technical and supply-chain in order to lead, monitor and evaluate the potential project results.
July 13th, 2011 Rod Dilkes joins us again as the Director of Sales for Australia and New Zealand Rodney obtained a B.App.Sc. in Electronic Technology (Curtin
Uni) in 1984 and initially worked in the IT industry eventually becoming an
independent contractor to BP in the UK. In 1990 he decided on a sea change and
co-founded a successful ceramics business in country Western Australia. In 2002
he converted a small car to run on battery power which in 2007 became the first
electric vehicle in Australia to utilize Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries.
